Animal By-Law Officer

Animal Control Officer and Poundkeeper:  

Rural Animal Management Services (RAMS) is the current Animal Control Service for the Town of Sainte-Anne. If you have any animal issues (i.e. barking, running at large, etc.) please contact RAMS by phone at 204-223-5521, by email at rams@animalmanagement.ca or through their Facebook page. 

Licensing Your Animal:

Animal Control By-Law 2-2025
A person may not keep a cat or dog within the Town of Ste Anne that is older than six months unless such person has acquired a license for the dog from the Town, one can be obtained at the town office for a fee of $10.00. Dogs and cats are to be kept on a leash at all times.
* If no license is obtained, a $100 penalty is applicable*

No person shall own, harbor, keep or have in his possession or control of on his premises,

6.1 A maximum of three dogs or cats is permitted in a one-unit or two-unit residential structure zoned RS-S, RS-L or RT properties zoned

6.2 A maximum of two Dogs or cats in a multi-unit residential structure zoned RM-M or RM-H

Animal licenses are available at the Town of Sainte-Anne office during regular hours of 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Proof of rabies vaccination is required upon application.

Fee Schedule:

  • For each dog or cat - $10.00
  • Replacement tag - $10.00
  • Transfer of license - Not applicable
