Duties and Responsibilities:

The Town of Ste. Anne is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Town of Ste. Anne, the CAO and other departments. All applicants should have a great attitude and excellent people skills.

Duties include:

  • Preparing agendas and minutes for Council Meetings
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Conducting research on various matters
  • Supporting front counter, including answering of phones, answering inquiries, receiving payments for tax and utility accounts.
  • Maintaining important files and records, including by-laws, minutes and resolutions.
  • Preparation of Public hearings and Notices
  • Updating computer documents;
  • Assisting with data entry and record keeping
  • Other related duties assigned by the CAO

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Preferably bilingual, English and French.
  • Minimum Grade 12 high school education or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Municipal experience is an asset.
  • Completion of, enrolled in, or willingness to obtain, Certificate in Manitoba Municipal Administration (CMMA)
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge and experience working with Muniware and Catalis Meeting Management is an asset.
